Julie has been painting for nearly thirteen years. Her love and passion for painting ignited at that time when wanting to have original art for her new home. She was first inspired by Jackson Pollock who's use of color and technique was so intriguing to her. After experimenting with different mediums, she found her niche in acrylic painting. Julie's artwork is a unique collaboration of florals, still life's and streetscapes with an occasional abstract in-between. Her eye for color and composition enables her to create wonderful pieces. She uses bright bold colors with a brush and a pallet knife for texture that always makes a statement.
Julie is very passionate about painting. "There's nothing like getting lost and freeing your mind for a moment - then afterwards to hear the viewer really admire the piece is so rewarding!"
Julie's artwork has been in several solo and group exhibits. She is represented by Ariodante Art Gallery in New Orleans and Rue du Pont Galery n Breaux Bridge. Her artwork has been published in magazines and newspapers. She has many collectors nationally and internationally.
Julie is inspired by South Louisiana culture, family and friends. She resides in Lafayette with her husband Frank and two children, Danielle and Elliot.
